Creative Coaching | Roly Miller

Your creative work could actually support the life you want to live.

Here's what's standing in your way:

  • Perfectionism keeping you stuck or stopping you from finishing
  • Exhaustion from juggling creation with survival
  • Fear of visibility, of charging what you're worth, of being "ready"
  • The gap between knowing what to do and actually doing it

This is fixable. Not with another course or framework – but with someone who'll help you look at the uncomfortable patterns and actually transform them.

I'm Ready to Start

My Story

I've been made redundant. Sold studio gear to survive. Faced the choice between "getting a real job" or betting everything on this creative thing actually working.

I've also spent 30 years leading creatives at Apple, Riot Games, and Indeed – so I know what it looks like when creative work is supported properly, and what it looks like when it's not.

But here's the thing: I'm not some business guru who's "figured it all out." I'm still figuring out my own marketing in real time. Still wrestling with whether I'm charging enough. Still showing up imperfectly.

I trained as a life coach and spiritual director because I wanted to understand what actually helps people change – not tactics, but the deeper stuff. The patterns. The fear. The stories we tell ourselves about why we can't.

I don't have all the answers. But I'm really good at holding up a mirror so you can see yours.

I'm Roly Miller, and I work with creatives who are past the hobby phase but whose businesses feel like chaos – photographers, musicians, YouTubers, game developers, artists building something that actually lasts.

How I Work

This isn't about productivity hacks or business frameworks.

It's about looking at the uncomfortable stuff – the perfectionism that keeps you stuck, the people-pleasing that means you never charge enough, the fear of being seen that stops you hitting publish.

We work through one-on-one calls, group sessions, and co-working. But what actually happens in those spaces is this: you get to be fully yourself. Messy, uncertain, ambitious, terrified, all of it.

I'm not a passive observer. I'll jump with you. I'll call out your patterns when I see them. I'll hold space for the silence when there are no answers.

This is slow work. The unwinding of decades of conditioning doesn't happen in a 6-week course. But if you stick with it? You don't just change your business. You change how you show up in the world.

What's Possible

You Start Finishing Things

The perfectionism loosens its grip. You publish work that isn't perfect. You finish projects you've been sitting on for months. You stop waiting to feel "ready" because you realise ready is a myth.

Your Creative Intuition Gets Louder

You stop second-guessing every decision. There are moments – quiet, clear moments – where you just know what's next. Your soul and your creative work start moving in the same direction. It feels like coming home to yourself.

The Business Becomes Sustainable

Not overnight. Not in 30 days. But slowly, steadily, you build something that supports your life instead of consuming it. Income flows. Clients show up. You stop operating from panic and scarcity.

You Show Up as Yourself, Fully

No more hiding behind "I'm not ready yet" or "I need one more course first." You stop shrinking yourself to fit what you think people want. You take up space. You charge what you're worth. You say no to things that aren't aligned.

The Transformation Goes Deeper Than Business

This isn't just about making your creative work profitable. It's about becoming the person who can actually live the life you've been dreaming about. The person who doesn't apologise for wanting more. Who doesn't sabotage success when it shows up.

This doesn't happen in a weekend workshop or a 30-day challenge. Real transformation takes months of showing up, looking at uncomfortable patterns, and doing the work. The creatives who stick with it? They don't just change their business – they change everything.

Success Story

Roly and Barnaby together in Dublin
Barnaby

Barnaby left corporate last year. Filmmaker and L&D professional, new dad, suddenly solo.

He started with the Starter Kit. But the real shift happened when we started working together.

Because making space wasn't enough—he needed clarity on what to back himself on. Which ideas actually mattered. How to stop trying to please everyone and speak boldly about his value.

Now? He's running his own L&D consultancy and speaking at industry conferences. He flew into Dublin on his last trip back to Europe to work with me in person—because YouTube videos and free tips only take you so far.

Is This For You?

This is for you if:

  • You're already making some money from your creative work, but it's chaotic and unsustainable
  • You're willing to look at the uncomfortable patterns that keep you stuck (perfectionism, people-pleasing, fear of visibility)
  • You'll do the work between sessions - this isn't passive consumption
  • You're past the "maybe someday" phase and ready to commit time and money to figuring this out
  • You understand real change is slow - you're not looking for a magic bullet or a 30-day transformation
  • You want honest feedback, not cheerleading

This isn't for you if:

  • You're looking for business tactics and marketing hacks (there are better resources for that)
  • You want someone to fix you without you doing the uncomfortable work
  • You're not making any money yet and need survival-level business basics first
  • You're shopping around for the "perfect" coach or waiting to feel "ready"
  • You want a coach who'll let you stay stuck - I'll call out your patterns, even when it's uncomfortable

How We Can Work Together

I work with 8-10 people at a time because this is relational, not transactional.

In our clarity call, we'll both assess if this is the right fit - for you AND for me. If we're both hell yes, we'll figure out what makes sense.

Real transformation takes time. That's why 1-on-1 work starts with 3 months - not because I want to lock you in, but because the patterns we're unwinding didn't develop overnight. After that? We'll figure out what serves you.

Work With Me Directly

Ongoing 1-on-1 support - the deep work happens here.

€500/month (2 x 90-minute sessions)

Minimum commitment: 3 months to start - because you didn't develop these patterns overnight, and you won't undo them in a weekend workshop. This is slow, intentional work. We're unwinding decades of perfectionism, people-pleasing, and fear of visibility. That takes time.

After 3 months, continue monthly or pause as needed. This is for people ready to commit to the depth.

This is for established creatives who are serious about making this work—musicians, artists, photographers, writers, game developers who need someone who actually gets both the creative and practical sides.

Book a free 30-minute clarity call. We'll talk honestly about where you're stuck, and I'll tell you if I think I can help. I only work with 8-10 people at a time, so this is as much about fit as it is about logistics.

"This is the real secret to life—to be completely engaged with what you are doing in the here and now. And instead of calling it work, realise it is play."
